About my recipes

I like to keep things simple, so you’ll find that my recipes are mostly quick and easy to make. I believe that looking after yourself shouldn’t be complicated or time-consuming.

You won’t need to go out of your way to find ingredients or buy things you’ve never heard of to make my recipes. Most of the ingredients can be found in the “health food” and/or baking sections of the supermarket (in Australia, anyway).

My preferred sweeteners are honey, pure maple syrup and sometimes rice malt syrup.

Instead of traditional flours, I use almond meal, buckwheat flour, flaxseed, teff, coconut and oat flour.

I take all of the photos myself, with my iPhone, so please don’t be too critical! But seriously, photography isn’t really my thing. Also, my images show you how the recipes look in real life. So that’s how you can expect them to look for you too.

 Click on a category below to view the recipes in that category. Or scroll through all of the recipes at the bottom of the page.   I don’t preface every recipe and every category with “healthy,” because I always use the healthiest ingredients possible. As I said above, I use alternative flours and I keep my recipes low in sugar. So yes, they’re better for you than store bought goodies, but you still need to use common sense in regard to portion sizes!
