Quick and easy brekkie bowls that are oh, so delish!
These 3 brekkie bowls are perfectly suited for health and delicious Summer breakfasts. If you know anything about me by now, you know that breakfast is my favourite meal and that I absolutely loooove a good brekkie bowl or smoothie bowl. I mean, what’s not to love? They’re delicious and nutritious. They fill you up, keep you satisfied until lunchtime and keep those nasty sugar cravings at bay. Why not make a different one every day, using fresh seasonal fruits?

Quick and easy mix in the bowl smoothie
Ingredients
  • 3-4 dessert spoons plain Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
Optional
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 spoon flax or chia seeds
Toppings
  • your choice of nuts
  • sesame seeds
  • pumpkin seeds
  • fresh fruit
Instructions
  1. Spoon the yoghurt into a bowl and stir in the honey.

  2. Mix in protein powder, if required.

  3. Sprinkle over the nuts and seeds.

  4. Add fresh fruit and you're good to go!

Recipe Notes
  1. This bowl only takes a few minutes to make and you don't need a blender.
Wendy's Way pomegranate acai brekkie bowl
 

Pomegranate acai bowl
Ingredients
  • 2/3 dessert spoons Greek yoghurt
  • splash milk
  • cup oats
  • ½ banana
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup raspberries
  • 1 tbsp acai powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Toppings
  • Pomegranate seeds, dried mango chunks, walnuts
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Pour into a bowl and sprinkle on the toppings.

Recipe Notes
  1. Swap the oats for 1 tablespoon of chia seeds or flax if needed.
  2. You could use Goji berries instead of pomegranate. Fresh mango instead of dried would be fine too. And of course, use other nuts if you prefer.

Strawberry mango brekkie bowl
Ingredients
  • 2-3 dessert spoons Greek yoghurt
  • small tin coconut milk
  • ½ fresh mango
  • 2-3 frozen strawberries
  • 1-2 spoons flax seed, protein powder or oats
Toppings
  • Sprinkle over pumpkin & sesame seeds, Goji berries, shaved coconut, chopped macadamia nuts
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Pour into a bowl and sprinkle on the toppings.

Recipe Notes
  1. Try using watermelon instead of mango.
