Healthy chocolate treats to make: let’s get into the recipes!
EASY CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES
I’m gonna start with these rich, creamy chocolate truffles. They’re easier to make than you might think, and you can leave them plain and simple, or add your favourite flavour.
I think they look really impressive too, especially if you wrap them in some pretty coloured tissue paper and pop them into a special little gift box or bag.

CHOCOLATE CAKE MUFFINS
Chocolate muffins are always a lovely indulgence, especially for breakfast or a healthy snack. The best thing about these is that they’re a lot healthier than regular chocolate muffins.
So bake a fresh batch as part of your Sunday meal prep and spoil yourself with a chocolatey breakfast or brunch. Then freeze the rest to grab and go throughout the week.

HIGH FIBRE CHOCOLATE ORANGE MOUSSE
Rich, creamy, and deliciously chocolatey – this mousse tastes like pure indulgence, but it’s secretly packed with nourishing ingredients that support your midlife metabolism. Orange zest gives it a delicious hint of Jaffa.

CHOC VANILLA BLISS BALLS
These classic energy balls are perfect for healthy snacks any time of day, especially when you need something small, wholesome and quick before a workout.

CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
Rich, fluffy, and ready in just a couple of minutes – this single-serve Chocolate Mug Cake is the perfect healthy indulgence when you’re craving something sweet but don’t want to derail your goals.

HOME-MADE CHOCOLATES
These home-made chocolates are great to have on hand for those times when you’re really craving a chocolate treat.
Quick and easy to make, even if you don’t have any chocolate moulds – just use an ice cube tray.
The basic mix is just 3 ingredients, and then add in your favourite fillings, or whatever you have in the pantry: nuts, dried fruits, coconut, etc.

CHOC BANANA POPSICLES (PADDLE POPS)
These yummy popsicles are a healthier version of our Aussie Paddle Pops. A combination of the chocolate and banana flavours!
They’re easy to make and keep handy in the freezer for when you want a quick frozen treat.

You’ll find plenty more simple, flavour-packed recipes here on my blog that work beautifully for post-menopausal bodies.

Your body responds differently now to food, stress, sleep and movement, so the old “just eat less” rules don’t work anymore.

BONUS: CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES
I do have one last little indulgent chocolate treat suggestion for you, and you don’t need a recipe for this one: chocolate-dipped strawberries.
Combining chocolate and strawberries is always a great idea. Give a bottle of bubbly to go with them, and then have a little picnic at home in the back garden!
